 Well, sadly it is all coming to an end. The Games with the Closing Ceremony and with this final page the end of the blogs from Shanghai. We all went into the old town in the morning for our last minute shopping. In the afternoon we made our way back to central Shanghai and the Closing Ceremony. Just as the Opening this was a truly spectacular affair. The fireworks seemed to go on for ever and everyone really enjoyed the whole activity. Some of the photos are here but there are lots more and they simply cannot say how fantastic the evening was. However, it's not long now before we will be back home with you all again. It's difficult to predict what time we will get back but we are going to be dropped off at the Canoe Club at about 8.00pm on Sunday the 14th. It would be great to see as many of you as possible. I will telephone Howard when I have a better idea of our ETA and hope he will be able to set off a chain of calls to you all.
